During the summer(ish) months, roughly from April to September/October, we put on our summer kit and dance Cotswold morris. This is morris based on the traditions of villages in the Cotswold region of England. We currently dance mainly in the styles of the Bampton and Adderbury traditions. Some of our dances are directly adopted (i.e. nicked) from the traditions of those villages although the sides from those villages may not dance them in quite this way any more. Other dances are our own creations but danced in the style of Bampton. In the past, GMM have performed dances from many other traditions and our repertoire is constantly evolving, mainly to suit our mood.
Some of our members also dance some Cotswold Jigs. These are typically one or two man dances created to showcase the dancers' skill and athleticism (skill?, athleticism??).
